Rod, line and fly—then attention.

Tenkara is a Japanese method of fly fishing using a telescopic rod with a fixed line attached at the tip, tippet and a fly. Without a reel, you manage distance and presentation through position, line length and rod control. Setups and practices vary with the angler and the water.
