The River Moy is a freestone river in Counties Mayo and Sligo, Ireland. Inland Fisheries Ireland lists it as a main salmon fishery (Mayo and Sligo) and a main sea trout fishery (Moy Estuary). Inland Fisheries Ireland's 2026 Wild Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging Scheme lists it as an open salmon fishery with optional harvest surplus. Inland Fisheries Ireland says “The Moy has long been famous as Ireland's premier Salmon river”. It is near Ballina, Foxford and Swinford, Co. Mayo. Its Irish name, An Mhuaidh, is from logainm.ie.
Nothing on this page grants or implies access: check the agency map, posted signs and landowner permission before you fish. Most waters here need a rod licence or permit and often a beat booking or club ticket; the listing pages under Regulations say which.

Listed by the agency
Matched on the fish the agencies list for both waters first, then the same water type, an official designation or flagship listing on both, and a similar mapped size where USGS hydrography covers both.
At most two waters per country. A shared fish is a listing, not a promise: presence varies by reach and season.
