Skunked but Smiling on the Androscoggin!

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a quick report from a recent weekend trip up to Gorham, New Hampshire. I managed to sneak away for a couple of hours to wade the Androscoggin River—using that easy access point right behind the McDonald's. If I'm being honest, we didn't bring a single fish to hand. But you know what? The weather was absolutely beautiful, the water looked great, and just getting out to cast for a few hours was exactly what we needed. It was a great reminder that this sport is about so much more than just catching fish. Sometimes a perfect day on the water is just about the fresh air, good company, and enjoying the process. It got me thinking—what was your best "skunked" day on the water recently? The kind of day where the fish weren't cooperating, but the scenery and the experience totally made up for it? Also, if anyone has any go-to fly recommendations for the Androscoggin the next time I'm up that way, I am all ears! Tight lines, Daniel
